Είμαστε οι... Last Rizla και το είδος της μουσικής που παίζουμε είναι... ουσιαστικά πραγματική reggae.

Ξεκινήσαμε να γράφουμε μουσική γιατί... δεν είχαμε τίποτα καλύτερο να κάνουμε όπως, για παράδειγμα, να παρακολουθούμε διαλέξεις.

Θα σας αρέσουμε αν σας αρέσουν οι... Dub Trio, Melvins, Mars Volta, Ufomammut, Whores.

Ένα κομμάτι μας που πρέπει να ακούσετε είναι το... Battles: Beaver.

Την πρώτη φορά που ανεβήκαμε στη σκηνή για live...δεν ήμασταν οι Last Rizla, είχαμε κατά κοινή ομολογία πολύ άσχημα κουρέματα και ροκάραμε σκληρά το Gay Bar των Electrix Six.

Το ελληνικό μουσικό ραδιόφωνο (των FM) είναι... δυστυχώς —και σπάνια γράφουμε οτιδήποτε αρνητικό σε όποια μας επαφή με τον τύπο— χειρότερο από ωτίτιδα. Οι “rock” σταθμοί παίζουν στο repeat το Wind of Change, το Poison και το Nothing Else Matters, φανταζόμαστε χτύπησαν καλό ντήλι για τα δικαιώματα με την ΑΕΠΙ, με παραγωγούς στα πρόθυρα overdose αμφεταμίνης. Οι υπόλοιποι επιτηδευμένα παθαίνουν νευρικούς κλονισμούς. Το χειρότερο είναι πως ουσιαστικά κανείς δεν υποστηρίζει την, ελληνική και μη, εναλλακτική σκηνή. Στις εκπομπές, για παράδειγμα, του Steve Lamacq ή του Daniel Carter θα ακούσεις τουλάχιστον *καινούργια* μουσική, session από Idles μέχρι Oathbreaker(...), σενάριο επιστημονικής φαντασίας για το ελληνικό ραδιόφωνο.

Θα θέλαμε κάποτε να κάνουμε ένα live... στο Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino.

Θα γουστάραμε να ήταν δική μας σύνθεση... το Wind of Change, θα παίζαμε τίγκα στο ελληνικό ραδιόφωνο. Ή το Poison που αρέσει και στο Σταύρο.

Ένα live που παραβρεθήκαμε —σαν θεατές— και μας «πήρε τα μυαλά», ήταν... οι 63high στο Legalize του 2007.

Η συμβουλή μας σε όποιον σκέφτεται να φτιάξει μπάντα είναι... να τη φτιάξει…;

Χωρίς το internet η μουσική... θα ήταν εξίσου συναρπαστική.

Αν μπορούσαμε να μεταφερθούμε σε ένα μουσικό περιβάλλον του παρελθόντος (χώρα, περίοδο), αυτό θα ήταν...στις αρχές του 90 στα λιβάδια του Essex επειδή μ’ αυτά και μ’ αυτά μας έχει πιάσει νοσταλγία.

Η πλέον παράξενη ατάκα που έχουμε ακούσει σε live μας είναι... “ωραία μουσική, θα σας φωνάξω στο γάμο μου” (Θεσσαλονίκη, Απυραμώρια, 2012).

Θα ήταν τέλειο αν κάποτε συνεργαζόμασταν με... τον Kurt Ballou.

Η πλέον υποτιμημένη μπάντα στον πλανήτη είναι... οι Korsikov.

Ένα από τα καλύτερα albums που έχουν ποτέ γραφτεί είναι... το Smash των Offspring.

Εκτός της μουσικής, γεμίζουμε το χρόνο μας... με ηρεμιστικά.

Ένα βιβλίο που μας συνεπήρε είναι... το Let There Be Meat: The Ultimate Barbecue Bible των James Douglas και Scott Munro (ISBN-13 978-1409156352).

Μία πόλη που θα θέλαμε να ζήσουμε είναι...το Βερολίνο επειδή κανείς μας δεν ακούει techno.

Σε 10 χρόνια από τώρα θα θέλαμε σα μπάντα να... έχουμε γράψει ένα (1) νέο κομμάτι.

Η ερώτηση που ποτέ δε μας κάνουν, οπότε την ρωτάμε και δεν απαντάμε μόνοι μας είναι... “τι συνέβη στα 15 χρόνια του Boheme;”

We are…Last Rizla and our music genre is…actually, it is real reggae.

We got involved with music because …we didn't have anything better to do, like, for instance attend lectures.

When we got on stage for our first gig…our name was not Last Rizla, we had really bad hair-cuts and we really rocked hard pplaying Gay Bar by Electrix Six.

(FM) radio nowadays is…Unfortunately -and it is very rare for us to write anything negative, in all of our interviews- todays radio is worse than otitis. The so called “rock” radio stations play “on repeat” songs like Wind of Change, Poison and Nothing Else Matters. We gather that they made a good deal for royalties with the AEPI, with radio producers being on the verge of amphetamine overdose. The rest of them, suffer from nervous breakdowns in a sophisticated way. But the worst of all is that none of them supports the alternative scene, greek or foreign. On the shows of, for instance, Steve Lamacq or Daniel Carter you will at least listen to some new stuff, from Idles to Oathbreaker(...), which is a science fiction scenario for Greek radio.

We would really like to give a concert…at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino.

It would be great if we had composed…Wind of Change. We would be air-played in Greek radio that way. Or even Poison, that is a song that Stavros likes.

A gig that we attended -as part of the crowd- and really “blow our minds”, was…63high at Legalize of 2007.

Our advice to anyone who wants to form a band is.…go do it!

Without internet, music would...by very exciting still.

If we could go back to the past, and live in a music environment (country, era), that would be…in the early 90s, on the countryside of  Essex, because with all the mentioned above, we got nostalgic.

The weirdest thing we have heard in one of our gigs is…“nice music, i will call you to play at my wedding" (Thessaloniki, Apiramoria, 2012).

It would be great if we ever had the chance to work with…Kurt Ballou.

The most underrated band in the world is…Korsikov.

One of the best albums ever written is...Smash by Offspring.

Apart from music, we also like to spend our time….on traquilizers.

One book that we were really overwhelmed by was… Let There Be Meat: The Ultimate Barbecue Bible by James Douglas and Scott Munro (ISBN-13 978-1409156352).

One city that we would love to live in would be... Berlin, because non of us likes Techno.
